Harry K. Walton, Sr., 90, of Hamilton, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Trenton on December 8, 1928 he was a US Marine Corp veteran serving during WWII and Korea. After his discharge in 1952 Harry worked at DeLaval Turbine in Trenton for many years and at the same time, ran his TV repair business in Allentown. He later worked at Heinemann Electric in Lawrenceville for several years before owning and operating a Snap-on-Tool franchise in the Trenton/Princeton area for 25 years.
Harry loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren. He enjoyed flowers and working in his garden, playing cards, shooting pool, camping, hunting, telling stories, reading historical novels, comics and crossword puzzles. He touched many people in his 90 years and left a lasting impression on all those who met him.
Son of the late George W. and Adele LaRue Walton, Harry was predeceased by his sister, Jean Villard; brother-in-law, Gordon Tantum and son-in-law, Joe Lahovich He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Edna Tantum Walton; his children, H. Kendall Walton, Jr., Bette-Jean Lahovich, George Walton, all of Hamilton and G. Thomas Walton and his wife Jennifer of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Andrew (Elysa) Lahovich, Stephen Lahovich, Zachary Walton, Brie (Justin) Henshaw, Garth (Lauren) Walton, Alexandria Walton and Helena Walton; five great grandchildren, Brantley, Paisley, Kinsley, Madison and Emerson; sister-in-law, Linda Tantum; nephew, Jeffery (Vanessa) Tantum; great-nephew, Owen Tantum,: niece, Amy Villard and family and his special friends, Janet and Jay Pellichero and their family and Jessica Sun, who always made him smile.
The family would like to thank the staff of the DaVita Renal Center in Hamilton for the caring support over the last couple of years.
A visitation with the family will be held 11 am to 1 pm, with a memorial service at 1pm on Saturday, August 3 rd at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St, Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
