Obituary

Harry A. Cubberley, 91, of Yardville, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a resident of Yardville for over 40 years. Harry was a WWII Army Veteran and retired from NJ Bell where he worked as an outside plant engineer. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Trenton/Burlington Chapter, the Mt. Moriah Lodge # 28 F&AM, the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite and the Crescent Shrine Band. He had played in the John Keifer Hamilton Township Band and enjoyed traveling with the National Campers and Hikers Association.
Predeceased by his parents Maurice and Edith Cubberley, his sister, Thelma Benton, his beloved wife Erva Cubberley and his sons-in-law, Tom McCarthy and Anthony D. Costello, he is survived by his son: Harry A. Cubberley Jr. of Bordentown Twp.; his daughters, Cheryl McCarthy of Yardville and Linda DeSandre of Bordentown Twp.; his grandchildren, Laurel and Dan Bayer, Meghan and Andrew Grosse, Amanda and Michael Herbert, Melissa and Charles Peterson and Kevin and Carrie Cubberley, 9 great grandchildren and his brother Maurice A. Cubberley and his wife Muriel of Illinois.
Funeral Services will be held 11 am Wednesday, September 20 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will follow in the North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm and again on Wednesday morning from 10 am until time of service.at the funeral home. Masonic Services will begin at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church, 71 Pearson Dr., Trenton, NJ 08610 or to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3551 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
