Greta Williams passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at her residence in Bordentown Township, New Jersey. Born on April 23, 1935, in Coventry, England, Greta lived a full life marked by love, dedication, and an unyielding commitment to those closest to her.
Greta's career as a hairdresser in Coventry brought joy not only to herself but to many who appreciated her skill and cheerful demeanor. She was someone who took great pride in her work and the relationships she built through it. Beyond her professional life, Greta was a woman of many interests: she enjoyed dancing, soap operas, and had a deep appreciation for crime novels, She also enjoyed trips to the casino and the views of the Atlantic.
At the heart of Greta’s life was her family and her home. She made her home immaculate and filled it with love, Her care extended beyond people to her love of pets and animals, demonstrating the compassionate nature that defined her. Greta was known as a terrific daughter, a wonderful mother, an excellent grandmother, and a great-grandmother. She was charitable to a fault, always ready to lend a hand or support a cause.
Greta’s family remembers her fondly and honors her legacy. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard J. and Rhonda Williams, and Matthew M. and Wendy (Myers) Williams, her grandson, Rich and his wife Erica Williams, and her cherished great-grandchildren, Rory and Jude who she loved with all of her heart.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Eva Walker, and her husband of over fifty years, Jerry L. Williams, who shared a lifetime of memories with her.
A private memorial service to celebrate Greta’s extraordinary life will take place at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made in Greta's name to the Chesterfield Baptist Church, 209 Matthews Lane, Chesterfield, NJ 08515 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
Greta Williams lived a life marked by warmth, care, and countless acts of kindness. Her memory will remain a guiding light for her family and friends, a testament to a life well lived and a heart deeply loved.
