It is with great sadness that the family of Gertrude Evelyn "Trudy" Gibson, 56, announce her passing on November 1, 2017, at Lourdes Hospital in Willingboro, NJ.
Trudy was born on March 8, 1956 in Roanoke, VA to Barbara F. Saunders and the late Howard D. Saunders. She attended the Bordentown Regional schools and went on to attend Delaware State University. She worked for Munich Re America Brokers Inc., in Princeton NJ for more than 25 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry Howard Gibson, son Kareem Jabbar Scarborough, her father, Howard D. Saunders, one brother, Juan Saunders of VA and one sister Mercedes Saunders of NJ.
Lovingly remember by her son and daughter-in-law, Shaun D. (Veronica) Gibson, daughter-in-law Krista Scarborough of Orlando, FL, her mother Barbara Saunders of Bordentown, NJ, five grandchildren Amya Scarborough, Khamil Scarborough, Shaun Gibson, Shauna Gibson and Imirah Hughes. Trudy leaves to mourn, 3 sisters, 4 brothers, 7 brothers-in-law's, 5 sisters-in-law's and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
A Funeral Service in memory of Gertrude Evelyn "Trudy" Gibson's life will be held on, Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., for the viewing and noon for the funeral at Shiloh Baptist Church, 104 Elizabeth St, Bordentown, NJ 08505. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
