Gerry Sigtermans, 71 of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton, NJ.  Born in Englewood, NJ, he was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.  Gerry retired from New Jersey Bell after 30 years of service.  He was a talented woodworker and loved to fish.  He also enjoyed trips to Alaska where he would prospect for gold.  Above all, Gerry loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Gerry is survived by his wife 44 years, Lynda Sigtermans; his sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sophia Sigtermans of Scottsdale, AZ and James and Katarina Sigtermans of Plymouth, MI; his grandchildren, Remy, Dane, Summer and Michael Sigtermans; his siblings, Pieter and Kay Sigtermans of Hastings, MN, Frank and Carole Sigtermans of Pine Bush, NY and Jeanne and Fred Summer of Mesa, AZ as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held 1pm on Saturday, November 24 ^th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.  A visitation will be held from 12-1 pm and following the funeral service until 4 pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the NJ Sharing Network Foundation, Attn: Marsha Kefer, 691 Central Ave., New Providence, NJ 07974 or to the Allentown First Aid Squad, PO Box 252, Allentown, NJ 08501.
