Gerard A. Maier, 71, of Millstone, passed away Sunday April 27th in Jackson. Born in Fords, NJ, Gerry was a resident of Millstone Twp. for 30 years. He retired from East Brunswick School District in 2001 where he was a history teacher for 35 years. Gerry was an avid photographer who enjoyed cooking and being with his family and his dog Shadow.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Maier (nee Tifft); his children, Lisa and her husband Dan Bublitz, Rebecca Maier, Christopher Maier and Jonathan Maier; his granddaughter Emily; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Harry Maier and Don and Joan Maier; his close friend Joyce Lentz and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11am on Thursday May 1St at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 5-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gerry's name to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
