George F. Stegner, Jr., 77, of Allentown passed away Sunday at his home. Born in Hazelton, PA, he resided in Hamilton for several years before moving to Allentown 32 years ago. A US Army Veteran, George retired as foreman from US Steel. He currently worked as a Ranger at Charleston Springs Golf Course and was a member of the Hamilton Elks.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rose Stegner; two sons, Ronald and Glen Stegner; a daughter, Doreen Bondonese; a brother, Bob Stegner and four grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday 1pm at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. The Rev. Horace Frantz will officiate. Friends may call Thursday 10:30-12:30pm at the Peppler Funeral Home 114 S. Main St. Allentown.
