Gary R. Nucera Sr., 73, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Trenton, he was a life-long resident of Bordentown. He had worked and retired from the Hillsborough Municipality and was incredibly active in his local community.

Gary was a member of the Bordentown Township Board of Education, the Planning Board, the Zoning Board, the Athletic Association and the Township Sewerage Authority as well as the Educational Foundation. However, he is probably most noted for his involvement in the coaching of local sports, including soccer, basketball and baseball. His tireless efforts will be deeply missed.

Predeceased by his parents Frank Sr. and Rose Nucera he is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Maureen P. Nucera, his children: Andrea Guest of Cinnaminson, Gary Nucera Jr. and his wife Jessica of Yardley, PA and Lauren Grillo and her husband James of Wayne, NJ. His grandchildren: Gracie, Josie and Lucy Nucera and Cameron and Madison Grillo. His sister Beverly Kniss of Bordentown, his sister-in-law Michele Bona and husband Bill Bona of Milan, TN. along with nieces, nephews and many, many dear friends.

A memorial service celebrating Gary's life will be held Saturday February 1 from 9 am until 1 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
