Obituary

Gary E. Kleinedler, 83, of Allentown, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Princeton Hospital in Plainsboro.  Born in Lombard, IL, Gary received his bachelor's degree from Purdue University and earned his master's in metallurgical engineering from the University of Michigan.  He moved to New Jersey in 1963 to work in the Engineering Research Center in Princeton and spent his entire career as a Metallurgical Engineer with different departments within AT&T. Gary was also a cartographer for several trolley and railroad associations and the Canal Society of New Jersey.

An active member of the Allentown United Methodist Church, Gary was a licensed hot air balloon pilot.  He and his partner Orysia loved to travel, and they took many trips both throughout the US and abroad.

Son of the late Fred and Virginia Kleinedler, Gary is survived by his partner of 36 years, Orysia Kaufman; his sisters, Marilyn Pryor and her husband Robert, and Joyce Sorice; his nephews and nieces and their families, Jeffrey Kitcheos, Tammy Nelson, Julie Scheurich, Tara Rosenberg and Adam Pryor.  Gary is also survived by Orysia's family including her daughters and their families, Tai Schahar and Deanna Rosenzweig; her mother, Anela Myhal; her sister, Tania Nahorniak and her family, and her brother, Roman Myhal and his family.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 5 th from 3-5pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. A prayer service will begin at 5pm.  Memorial contributions may be made in Gary's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or at www.cancer.org.

Please be aware that there is limited occupancy, social distancing must be observed and face coverings must be worn at the funeral home.
