Gary R. Asbrand Sr. of Whiting, formerly Chesterfield, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the age of 76. Born in Trenton, he was raised in Bordentown and attended Trenton Catholic and Bordentown High Schools. A U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, Gary retired from Warren Balderston where he worked in industrial sales. He was a 52 year member of the Bordentown Elks Lodge #2085 and enjoyed boating, surf fishing, watching football and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years Deanna Asbrand and his brother Phillip Asbrand. He is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law: Gary R. Jr and Jennifer Asbrand of Blacksburg, VA and Kyle and Kristin Asbrand of Chesterfield, NJ, his grandchildren, Megan and Sean Asbrand, sister-in-law, Marie Asbrand, nephew James Asbrand, his wife Heidi and their children Abby and Kate of Salt Lake City, UT, sister-in-law Ann Crivelli, and his many dear friends, including: Deacon Jim and Nancy Challender, James and Carol Marue, Bob Dadonna, Dave Steinman, and Donna Curran.

Funeral Services will be 9 am Friday, January 11 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. Wm C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
