Gail E. Cummings, 68, of Fort Myers, FL passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at The Lodge at Cypress Cove skilled nursing facility in Fort Myers, FL. Born in Trenton, NJ Gail is formally from Bordentown, NJ and has lived in Fort Myers FL. Since 1977.
Gail attended Finley Collage in Ohio and completed X-Ray Technical school at Helene Fuld Hospital in Trenton NJ. In 1977 Gail started working for 21 st Century Oncology's first office in Fort Myers, as the senior Tech. As the practice grew Gail became the Technical director, over seeing some 50 practices around the country.
Gail semi-retired in 2011 but worked remotely from home managing 4 offices in Ashville NC. Until being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2016.
Gail is the daughter the late John V. McClaskey and Elizabeth Thompson of Bordentown NJ. and stepdaughter of John H. Thompson. Gail is proceeded by her sister Elizabeth J. Thompson Lynch.
Gail is survived by her husband of 47 years James (Boe) Cummings, her son and his spouse Beau J. and Marissa N. Cummings, her grand children Colton J. and Kendall N. Cummings, her sisters Patricia McClaskey and Deborah Thompson Ayars as well as many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Gail's love of people, her kindness, her open heart, and her compassion for others touched so many lives while she was on this earth and she will be dearly missed by so many. We all love you Gail!
A memorial mass will be held for Gail at 10am on Thursday, May 20 at Mary, mother of the church parish, 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. A visitation for friends and family will be held from 9am until the time of service at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown, NJ. A celebration of Gail's life will also be held in Fort Myers, FL. At a later date.
