Frederick Joseph Messinger V, 59, of New Egypt, died Thursday, February 19th at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold. Born in Elizabeth, he had lived in Colonia, NJ before moving to New Egypt 19 years ago. He was a Pharmacist and had worked in the New Egypt area. His family was very important to him and he was involved in his children's lives with whom he loved dearly.

Predeceased by his parents, Frederick IV and Dolores Messinger, he is survived by his loving wife Erma (nee Mastrolacsa), three daughters, a son-in-law and grandson; Kristin, Seth and Dylan Josephs of Lancaster, MA and Lauren and Sara Messinger both of New Egypt; a sister, Nancy Ferioli of Millstone, a brother Mark and his wife Michelle Messinger of New Egypt, many nieces and nephews, a best friend of over 50 years, Henry Mushik and an endless network of other dear friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11 am Monday, February 23 at the Plumsted Presbyterian Church, 14 Front St., New Egypt, NJ. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may visit 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday, and again Monday from 9 to 10 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ.
