Fred C. ""Fritz"" Hoffner, 85, of Cream Ridge, sadly passed away Sunday, November 16th at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Allentown PA., he resided in Cream Ridge most of his life. After retiring from The College of New Jersey, he moved to upstate New York and then Delaware, finally settling at Cedar Glen Lakes in Whiting, NJ. Fred loved camping and traveling in his motor home. He spent 20 years vacationing in Florida every winter. He loved his family and will be sadly missed by all.
Son of the late John and Theresa Hoffner he was predeceased by his brothers, Joe and Jack, his sisters Theresa, Hilda and Margaret; his first wife of 34 years, Cleo and his grandson Franklin Lee Hoffner. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lois; his son Gary and his girlfriend Cristine Giarlo; his step-son Ken and Christine Secrist of Yardville; his step-daughter Linda and Richard Dolci of Lakeside; daughter-in-law Charlene Hoffner; grandchildren Gary Hoffner Jr., Jody and Vince Antenucci, Brent Secrist and Lori Secrist; great grandchildren, Cassy, Michael, Amanda and Colleen as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 10am Saturday at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Cream Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 7-9pm at the funeral home.
