Obituary

Frank Santomarco, 65, of Cream Ridge passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Frank valued his group of lifelong friends from St. Rose of Lima and the "kingdom".  In Brooklyn, Frank met his beloved wife Doreen and eventually moved to Staten Island to raise their children Michael and De-anne. After many years in the Teamster's Local 814 union, Frank joined his family to further the success of "Vinny's Pet Shop'' in Bay Ridge, which he continued to own and operate until 2017.  He loved classic rock and cars and enjoyed spending time at the beach and Disney World with his family.  But above all, Frank was a beloved grandfather of four who adored his grandchildren and will forever be "Grandpa", remembered for the time he spent playing hide and seek, reading books, hosting tea parties, and cheering them on at t-ball games and dance recitals.

Son of the late Harry and Carmela Santomarco, he is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Doreen; his mother-in-law Joan Duva and his brother-in-law Frank Duva of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Meghan Santomarco of Charlotte, NC; his daughter and son-in-law De-anne and Michael Criso of Cream Ridge, NJ; his grandchildren, Michael and Liliana Criso and Siobhan and Connor Santomarco as well as many other extended family and dear friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Thursday, February 18 th at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frank's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
