Frank Briggs, 94, of Upper Freehold Twp., passed away Monday, April 19, 2010 at CareOne of Hamilton. Mr. Briggs was the son of the late Ernest and Margaret Swistak Briggs. He lived most of his life in Upper Freehold and North Hanover Twp. Mr. Briggs joined the CC Corp for a short while right out of high school. He was the Vice chairman of North Hanover Planning Board, the Chairman of Building Codes and a member of St. John's Church in Allentown. He retired in 1973 after farming for 40 years. He loved hunting, fishing and traveling, and traveled throughout the United States and Canada.

Mr. Briggs was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Anan Hamay Briggs and by his brothers, Stanley, Earl and Charles. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Alice Roods and son-in-law, Raymond of Brooksville, FL; a brother Harry and wife Lillian of Whiting; three sisters, Doris and Bertram Pitcher of Freehold, Helen Carter of Cream Ridge, Marion Stillwell of Whiting as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am, Monday, April 26th at St. John's Church 1282 Yardville Rd., Allentown. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery in Trenton. Friends may call 2pm to 4pm, Sunday at Peppler Funeral Home 114 So. Main St. Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Fire Company, P.O. Box 547 Allentown, NJ 08501 or Allentown First Aid Squad P.O. Box 252 Allentown, or to a charity of one's choice.
