Obituary

Francis M. Lofaso, 75, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at home with his family by his side. Born in Manhattan, NY, Francis resided in Brooklyn before moving to NJ in 1971. A graduate from the NY School for the Deaf, Francis later retired as a Pressman for the NY Times in 2002. He was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus #7333. Francis loved to walk his dog and was an avid sports fan, rooting his whole life for the New York Yankees.

Son of the late, Francesco and Phillipia Lofaso; he was predeceased by his son, Frank Joseph Lofaso. Francis is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marie A. Lofaso; two daughters and sons-in-laws, Andrea and Bill Houlihan of Sayreville and Danielle and John Kananis of Roxbury; three grandchildren, Paul Hirsch and Jessica and William Houlihan; a sister, Mary Pipia of Springfield Gardens, NY, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Monday June 9th at St. John's Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Road, Allentown. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson, NJ. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St., Allentown.
