Frances Marinello, of Cream Ridge, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at her daughter's home surrounded by family . Born in Newark, Frances grew up in Nutley, NJ. After she married, she and her husband moved to the Bronx and later Little Ferry, NJ where they spent most of their years. In recent years, Frances lived in Brick and Manchester , Oak Ridge and Manahawkin , before moving to Cream Ridge to live with her daughter Lucille.
Frances was active with the Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Margaret of Cortona Church in Little Ferry where she served as a church trustee and was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Altar Rosary Society for Church of the Visitation in Brick.
A very intelligent woman she was a talented cook and seamstress. Frances loved working on crossword puzzles and enjoyed gardening. She was dedicated to her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Daughter of the late Giovanni and Ignatia Sellaro, she was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Marinello and her five siblings, Agatina Salvemini, Rosario Sellaro, Ignatia "Faye" Sellaro, Anthony Sellaro and John Sellaro. Frances is survived by her children and their spouses, Vincent and Sharon Marinello, Patricia and Joseph Barile, Lucille and Richard Lupich and Salvatore Joseph Marinello; her grandchildren, Melissa and Kyle Chrise , Megan and Edward Parks, Jennifer Marinello, Jessica and Keith Mazzone and Michele and Thomas Bloch; her great grandchildren, Sophia and Everly Parks and Rebecca and Vanessa Mazzone; her sister-in-law, Margaret "Elaine" Sellaro as well as many nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 2-5pm on Sunday, February 9th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Monday, February 10 th at St. John the Baptist Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown. Interment will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frances' name to St. John the Baptist Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown, NJ 08501.
