Frances V. (Mikulas) Lenhardt, 97, of Hamilton Square, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at home. She was born in 1928 in Trenton to the late Mary and Florian Mikulas, the youngest of 4 daughters. She was raised in Cream Ridge and attended Allentown High School, where she excelled in basketball, graduating in 1945. From there she attended St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. After graduation Fran worked as a nurse in Trenton and Miami, Florida. She returned to Trenton in 1953 to marry Michael Lenhardt, and retired from nursing to raise five children. She and Mike lived in Trenton, Cream Ridge, Newark, and North Arlington, NJ, while Mike completed his service in the Army, and then his Engineering Degree. In 1969, they returned to the Trenton area, settling in Hamilton Square. Fran then returned to nursing and also to GE/Trane, retiring from there in 1986.

She is survived by her daughter Anne (Keith) Porter of Edmonds, WA, and her sons Michael (Lorraine), and Andy (Sharon) of Hamilton, NJ, and Jim (Debbie) of Livermore, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband Mike, in 2011, and her son Peter (Darlene) in 2022. Also surviving her are her nine grandchildren, Kevin (Shelby Clanton) Porter, Jennifer Lenhardt (Tom McKeon), Andrea Cozzitorto, Dan Lenhardt, Will (Eilyn) Lenhardt, Erik Lenhardt, Jakob Lenhardt, Meredith Lenhardt, and Garret (Alyvia) Lenhardt as well as her five great grandchildren,  Mercer and Sloane Seidman, Bianca Cozzitorto, Kellen Lenhardt and Hayleigh Lenhardt.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Thursday, November 20th at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Allentown. Friends may call Wednesday, November 19th, from 6-8 pm and Thursday from 8am to 9am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 South Main Street, Allentown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Gregory the Great Church or a charity of the Donor's choice.
