Florence Tota, (nee Kovaleski), 87, of Mercerville, passed away Thursday morning, October 16, 2014 at St. Joseph Skilled Nursing Home, Morris Hall, Lawrenceville. Born in Trenton she was a resident of Yardville, North Crosswicks and Hamilton Square before moving to Mercerville.
Florence was a real estate broker for R. P. Bonnani, Richardson's and Caldwell Banker. She earned membership into the Million Dollar Sales Club. Later, she was an assistant to realtor and friend, Roxanne Gennari. She was a member and past president of the Allentown Villagers, the past treasurer for the Yardville Elementary School PTA and a former member of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Allentown. Florence was an avid tennis player into her 70's and enjoyed meeting with her tennis friends for lunch each week. She enjoyed painting nature scenes and loved working in her garden. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joys of her life.
Daughter of the late John and Florence Golinski Kovaleski Laslo; Florence was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Patrick. She had twin brothers, Edward and Joseph Kovaleski, who also predeceased her. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Laslo; her aunt Helen Golinski Rimo; her daughters and son-in-law, Christina Lansing of Mantua and Deborah and Harvey Walker of Mercerville; four grandchildren, Heather Snoke and her husband Craig, Christie Nuttall and her husband Shawn, Brent Walker and his wife Michelle Obermeier and Natalie Winsor and her husband William; eight great grandchildren, Aaron Snoke , Brandon Nuttall, Avery, Nikolas and Sonja Obermeier-Walker and Alison, Colin and Alexis Winsor. She is also survived by beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am Tuesday, October 21st at St. John the Baptist, R. C. Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd. Allentown. Burial will be at a later date. Friends may call Monday evening from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 am at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St., Allentown.
