Evelyn M. Totten, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2014. Born in Damascus, PA on November 20, 1921, she was a resident of Meadow Lakes in Hightstown, NJ for 14 years. Prior to moving to Meadow Lakes, Evelyn resided on the family farm in Allentown, NJ for 58 years.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, J. Coleman Totten, III; her parents, Otto and Bessie Mitchell; her siblings, Carlton, Frank, Doris and Vincent; sister-in-law Bernyce and husband Percy Van Kirk and grandson James C. Totten V.

Evelyn is survived by 4 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, James C. IV and Patricia Totten, Ronald and Lee Totten, Douglas and Rosemarie Totten and Edward Totten; 9 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was a member of the Allentown Presbyterian Church for over 60 years, where she taught Sunday school and was past president of U.P.W. Association, the Allentown PTA and the Allentown Needle Work Guild.

Visitation hours will be 10am to 12pm Friday, November 28th followed by a funeral service at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ 08501. The Rev. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Allentown Methodist Cemetery, Allentown, NJ.
