Evelyn F. Shipp, 94, of Yardville, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024. Born in Crosswicks, she was a lifetime area resident. Evelyn was devoted to her family and her children always came first. She was a lifetime member of the PTA and served as the Librarian for the Yardville School. When her children were older, Evelyn went on to work in Retail Management for Hahne's Department Store and later as an Associate for Macy's.  In her free time, she enjoyed playing tennis, spending time with her friends from the women's tennis group and quilting with her friends.  Above all, Evelyn loved her family and enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Harry and Frieda Umstead, she was predeceased by four siblings. Evelyn is survived by her children, Earl and his wife Susan Shipp, Frederick Shipp, Bradley Shipp, and Doreen Shipp; her grandchildren, Kristen Brennan (Mark), Bryan Shipp (Brittany), Leigh Povia (Danny Mohr), and Kelly Shipp (Marc Moll); her great grandchildren, Riley Shipp, Sydney Mohr, and Mia Mohr; brother, Jonah Umstead and sister, Geraldine Umstead as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11am on Tuesday, March 19th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery.
