Evelina B. Hepner, 83, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday at Bartley Health Care in Jackson. Born in Trenton, she was a Crosswicks area resident for most of her life. A graduate and valedictorian of Bordentown High School, Mrs. Hepner earned her bachelors degree from Rider College. She was a legal secretary for Wells & Wells Law Firm in Bordentown and prepared income tax returns for many people in the Crosswicks area. Mrs. Hepner was a lifetime member of the Allentown Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a longtime member of the senior choir. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling.
Daughter of the late Willet and Mary Harrison Satterthwait; she was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Charles Hepner and her brother Richard Satterthwait; she is survived by two nieces and their spouses, Patricia and David Holland of Parkesburg, Pa and Carol and Lindsey Hartshorn of Castleton, Vt; a cousin, Betty Shull of Burlington and two great nephews, Richard Holland of New Holland, Pa and Charles Holland of Brandamore, Pa.
Funeral service will be held Saturday 11am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. The Rev. Jenna Goggins will officiate. Interment will follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call Saturday 10-11am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Evelina's name to the Allentown Presbyterian Church Missions Fund, PO Box 122 Allentown, NJ 08501
