Obituary

Eva E. Riephoff, a loving, caring, giving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother came to rest on March 14, 2012 at the age of 95 at her home in Allentown.  Born in Cookstown, NJ on July 31, 1916, she attended Clarksburg School and then moved to Long Island where she continued her education.  She moved to Holmeson, NJ to live with her maternal grandparents on their farm.  She met C. Frank Riephoff and they were married on October 24, 1937.  They were married for 50 years before the death of Frank on December 22, 1987.  Eva was the secretary and treasurer for the family business, Riephoff Saw Mill Inc. since 1965.  She loved to do needle point, jig saw puzzles and eat jellybeans and was an avid reader of James Patterson novels.  Eva was also a member of the Allentown United Methodist Church of 62 years.  Mom, you finally made it up the Mississippi and had that special cocktail you've been waiting for.  We will all miss you terribly.  You and Daddy left us with many precious and wonderful memories.

Daughter of the late Marie Pihl nee Barry, she is survived by three daughters, Barbara Falconio and her late fiancé Gerard Diblin, Marion Hooper and son-in-law, Robert and Linda Watson and son-in-law Dale; seven grandchildren, John S. Falconio and wife Cathleen, Renée Falconio and fiancé Duff Sorensen, Lisa Falconio and fiancé Joseph Irving, Todd Hooper and wife Marchia, Robin Tricker and husband John, Shannon Muntone and husband James and Kelly Monahan and husband Rory; seven great grandchildren, John F. Falconio, Amelia & Jonathan Tricker, Zachary & Nathanial Muntone and Kayla and Derek Monahan; her close furry companion for 21 years, Ms. Kitty and her devoted caregiver for the past 2 ½ years, Deling.

Cremation will be private at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Allentown First Aid Squad, PO Box 252, Allentown, NJ 08501 or to the Allentown United Methodist Church, 23 Church St. Allentown, NJ 08501.  Arrangements under the direction of the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
