Ethel Audrey Steber, 87, of Whiting, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010. Born in Trenton, she was a lifetime Hamilton Twp. resident before moving to North Hanover in 1994 and Whiting in 2006. A graduate of Hamilton High School, she retired in 1984 as an executive secretary from Congoleum Corporation in Hamilton. She dearly loved traveling and organizing events for her company. Ethel was a member of the Allentown Presbyterian Church. She was also a loving wife, mother and grandmother who helped with the care of family members and grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Edward Wm. Steber, she was also predeceased by John and Ada Scragg, who raised her since infancy; a sister Dora Dukas and a stepsister, Joan Scragg. Ethel is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Susan Steber of Chesterfield; her grandchildren, Carolyn and Scott Steber, as well as extended family in England.

A Graveside service will be held Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 1PM at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown. The Rev. Dr. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Health Assistance Foundation for Alzheimer's disease research. www.AHAF.org.
