Ethel J. ""Cissie"" Errickson,78, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010. She was born, raised and lived in Bordentown all of her life. She was a 1949 graduate of MacFarland High School and went on to graduate from Mercer School of Nursing in 1952. ""Cissie"" worked at Mercer Hospital until 1969 and finally retired from Yardville Correctional Institute in 1994 as Director of Nurses. She was a lifetime member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Bordentown, was a member and past president of the Bordentown Elks Lodge #2085 Ladies Auxillary and the ""Red Hat Society"". ""Cissie"" was very active in the church and local community and will be deeply missed by all.
Daughter of the late Carlin and Irene Platt, she is survived by her husband of 57 years Edward Errickson, two sons and a daughter-in-law; James Errickson of Bordentown and William and Tammy Errickson of Grottos, VA., two daughters and sons-in-law; Cheryl and Robert Bocock of Bordentown and Beth and Jim Avallone of Prosperity, PA., a brother and sister-in-law; Vern and Claudia Platt of Almonte Springs, FL. A sister: Shirley Hammell of Beverly, NJ. Seven grandchildren; Rebecca Errickson, her fiancé Andre, Megan Errickson, her fiancé Travis, Jennifer Lorie, Jon Lorie, his wife Azure, Nadine and William Errickson and Devon Barrett and her husband Nate. Six great grandchildren; Avery, Bailey, Brayden, Greyson, Kaylee and Kellen as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 11 am Tuesday, September, 21 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will follow in Bordentown Cemetery, Bordentown Township. Friends may call Monday evening 6 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cissie's name to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 339 Farnsworth Ave, Bordentown, NJ 08505.
