Ethel Bohnert, 97, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018 in her home in Allentown, New Jersey. Born in Rahway, she was a resident of Paramus for over 50 years.

A true renaissance woman, Ethel recycled before you had to, nurtured many beautiful gardens, knew hundreds of recipes by heart and sewed many cherished pieces of clothing. She always made sure to keep her bird feeder full, a cat in her home and was known for nursing injured animals back to health. Ethel raised three children, William C. Bohnert, Louise B. Totton, and Stephen G. Bohnert. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her life will be celebrated at a private service on Friday, May 25th and she will be buried next to her beloved husband, William A. Bohnert at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery.
