Esther Robinson Weschler, 89, of Hightstown, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Meadow Lakes in Hightstown. Born in Zamora, Spain in 1923 and raised in Cuba, Esther came to the United States in the 1940s and married Benjamin Robinson in 1950. After graduating from Rider College in 1970, Esther taught Spanish for several years. She then launched a successful career in international marketing concentrating on Latin America. Esther loved to travel, dance, play golf and watch tennis. She never missed a social event at her club in Florida and could be seen on the dance floor or wielding her mighty putter on the golf course. She had her second ""hole in one"" at the age of 85. After living in New England and New Jersey for many years, she settled in Ft. Myers, Florida in 1989, where she met and married William Weschler. In 2010 she moved to Meadow Lakes in Hightstown, NJ to be near her children.
Esther was predeceased by her husbands, Ben in 1972 and Bill in 2006 and her sister Carmina. She leaves behind her two daughters, Roxanne Robinson and her husband Joe Yehl, and Kim Stoddart; a son James and his wife, Lauren Robinson and five grandchildren, Sarah, Jim, and Katie Stoddart and Kristen and Lisa Robinson.
A celebration of Esther's life will be held 2pm on Saturday, February 2 nd at St. Anthony's Church, Hightstown. A visitation will be held 1-2pm at the church. Memorial donations can be sent to the Allentown Public Library, PO Box 383, Allentown, NJ 08501.
