Erva L. Cubberley, 89, of Yardville, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at Samaritan Hospice, Mt. Holly. Born in Whitehorse, NJ she was a resident of Yardville for over 40 years. Erva retired from NJ Bell where she worked as a Stenographer and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Trenton/Burlington Chapter. A talented sewer and quilter, Erva was active with her community and was a member of the New Jersey Order of the Eastern Star, Bordentown Chapter # 257, the Allentown Villagers and was a former member of the Nottingham Garden Club.
Daughter of the late Elsie and William Ashmore, she was predeceased by her brother, William Ashmore. Erva is survived by her husband, Harry A. Cubberley; her son, Harry A. Cubberley Jr. of Bordentown Twp.; her daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl and Tom McCarthy of Yardville and Linda DeSandre of Bordentown Twp.; her grandchildren, Laurel and Dan Bayer, Meghan and Andrew Grosse, Amanda and Michael Herbert, Melissa and Charles Peterson and Kevin and Carrie Cubberley as well as 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held 11am on Thursday, April 20th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will follow in the North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-9 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Erva's name to Pearsons Memorial United Methodist Church, 71 Pearson Dr, Trenton, NJ 08610 or to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3551 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
