Obituary

Emile H. DuBois , 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 19, 2025 at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Barre, VT, He was one of 8 children.  He joined the Air Force and was stationed at McGuire/Fort Dix during the Vietnam War. He was very proud to serve our country, and continued to be a devoted patriot and military veteran.

He was employed by Johnson & Johnson, Princeton University Plasma Physics for NASA, General Motors, and retired from Mercer County Community College as their Electrician.

He loved visiting his Vermont families, nieces and nephews, and even built a log cabin home in Vermont!

Emile also built several replicas of antique cars. His replica of Henry Ford's 1896 Quadricycle was featured at the Philadelphia Car Show! He loved going to car shows and won numerous trophies for his antique cars. He always kept active and loved to be busy, making and creating different things and always looking to help someone out with whatever he could do for them.

He had trouble sitting still and just watching TV.  He never wanted to be a "grumpy old man" so he would tell jokes wherever he went and often would tell his "Smile" poem to strangers!

He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years Mary A. DuBois, his sister Ruthie Sanborn from Vermont, and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved. Emile is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Robert Bininger of Warrington, PA, his son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Cassandra DuBois of Antioch, CA, , and daughter, Rebecca DuBois of Yulee, FL, as well as grandchildren Joshua and wife Samantha,  Jessica and husband Billy Richards, Brian Bininger,  and Catherine and Barry Kleinfelder, his step-son Jeffrey Young & Seema of FL, and step-daughters Christine Young and fiance Victor of Bordentown, and Denise Tracy & Jeff of Browns Mills, and grandchildren Steven Pintado, Dawn Beam and husband Richard, and Dwane Tracy and wife Beth, and numerous great-grandchildren.  Emile is also predeceased by his son Jonathan DuBois. He loved spending time with his family and his family always looked forward to spending time with him and his wife, Mary.  He will be deeply missed by all.
