Elsie Bacus-Dalton, 78, of Cream Ridge, passed away Friday, February 24 , 2012 at her home, surrounded by her family. Born in Brooklyn, she resided in the Cream Ridge area for 12 years. Elsie retired as a switchboard operator from Tenney Engineering and was a member of the Supreme Emblem Club where she served as past president. She liked to play Bingo and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City.
Daughter of the late James and Gladys McCook, she is survived by her husband, Joseph Dalton; her children, Peter and Wini Bacus, Ronald and Christine Bacus and Trudy and Kevin Wasilewski; two brothers, Robert McCook and Charles McCook; 8 grandchildren, Lorie, Christy and Brian Pohero and Kayla, Toni Ann, Amanda, Ron Jr. and Amiee Bacus; 3 great grandchildren and one on the way as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held 12 noon on Wednesday, February 29 th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. The Rev. Ed Hlad will officiate. Cremation will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4pm and again 7-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, PO Box 650309, Dallas TX, 75265.
