Elmer S. Lippincott, 76, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born, raised and lived in Columbus all of his life. He was a graduate of William MacFarland High School and a member of the National Guard. He was owner and operator of Lippincott and Lippincott Inc. of Columbus which he co-founded with his brother in 1958.
Elmer's fish pond and his garden where his pride and joy and he enjoyed Sunday afternoon rides through the ""Pines"" with his wife Alice. His family was most important to him, especially his grandchildren. They will miss the ""Gator"" rides, sledding and trips to WAWA for tootsie rolls and milkshakes. He along with his red socks will be deeply missed.
Son of the late Calvin and Merle Lippincott and brother of the late C. Kenneth Lippincott, he is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Alice D. Lippincott (nee Ingling) five sons and daughters-in-law; Scott and Judith Lippincott of Southampton, Eddie and Karla Lippincott of Columbus, Eric and Bridget Lippincott of Springfield Twp., C.K. and Cheryl Lippincott of Chesterfield and Joe and Debbie Lippincott of Columbus, two daughters and sons-in-law; Jill and Ron Rupp of Westampton and Stacey and Wade Pierce of Burlington Twp., his brother, Bruce Lippincott and his wife Connie of Columbus, thirteen grandchildren; Gabrielle, Christina, Matthew, Taylor, Austin, Devan, Jake, Jordan, Caitlyn, Jessie, Caroline, Joey and Jason and a great granddaughter, Gianna.
Funeral Services will be 11 am Friday, December 16 at the Columbus United Methodist Church, 24573 East Main St., Columbus, NJ. Friends may call Thursday evening from 5 pm until 9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown and again on Friday morning from 9 am until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1415 Route 70 East, Suite 311, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
