Ellen M. Ugenti, 80, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at RWJ University Hospital, Hamilton. Born in Astoria, Queens, NY, she was a lifetime resident of the area until moving to Allentown in 2006. A bookkeeper for Brothers Construction, Ellen was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Astoria for over 40 years. Ellen was an animal lover and advocate and enjoyed spending her time reading, dancing, playing cards and was an excellent Scrabble player.

Daughter of the late James and Anna Vlaun, she was predeceased by her brother, James Jr. Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Onofrio J. Ugenti; her children and their spouses, Debra and Alan Preto, Fran and Sal Heitzer and Vito and Kathleen Ugenti; her brother, Pat Vlaun; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held Friday, October 19 ^th from 3-5 and 7-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, 9:45 am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 45 ^th St. and 21 ^st Ave., Astoria, NY. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Astoria.
