Obituary

Ellen D. Grover, 93, of Hamilton, passed away Monday, June 23, 2014 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton. Born in Framingham, MA, she was raised in Roselle, NJ and graduated from Roselle Park High School. After high school, the family moved to Douglas, AZ and later moved back to NJ, living in Clarksburg for many years, before moving to Bensalem, PA and later Hamilton, NJ. Ellen was a homemaker, who took great pride in raising her five children and taking care of her family. Ellen was extremely active with the USO during World War II and was a member of the DeBows United Methodist Church in Jackson, the Bensalem Seniors and the Red Hat Society.

Daughter of the late Ellen and William Clark Sr., she was predeceased by her husband, James V. Grover; her son, Ronald Grover; her brother, William Clark Jr.; her sister, Isabella Angevine and her special friend, Jacob Roller. She is survived by four children, James W. Grover (Carla) of Freehold, Alan Grover of Robbinsville, Ellen Grover of Chicago and Barbara Emmons (Bill) of Cream Ridge; grandchildren, Lori Ann Lin (Andrew) of Freehold, Bob Grover (Tara) of Grand Rapids, MI and Scott and Sean Grover of Sanford, FL; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held 8pm on Wednesday, June, 25th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main Street, Allentown, NJ. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6pm until time of service. Cremation and Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ellen's name to the United Service Organizations (USO), P.O. Box 96322, Washington, DC, 20090-6322 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
