Elizabeth Ida Pilla, 81, of Cream Ridge, passed away Monday, February 2nd at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton. Born in Barnegat, NJ, Mrs. Pilla was a resident of Cream Ridge for many years. She retired in 1988 from Walson Army Hospital at Fort Dix where she worked as a Supervisor of Medical Transcription. A vivacious reader who loved crossword puzzles; Mrs. Pilla was a strong, loving and generous woman who was always willing to help her family and friends.
Daughter of the late Alvin and Elizabeth Bowker and wife of the late Michale H. Pilla; she was predeceased by a brother, Edwin and two sisters, Ruth and Oscaretta; Elizabeth is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Theresa and Jeffrey Gross of Nashport, OH and Kathleen A. Pilla of Wrightstown; a grandson, Michael Gross and his wife Britini of Nashport, OH; a great granddaughter as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Elizabeth will be held 1pm on Thursday February 12th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. The Rev. Horace Frantz will officiate.
