Eleanor C. Toporek, 85, of Robbinsville, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Hamilton. Born in Swoyersville, PA, she was a longtime Robbinsville area resident. Eleanor worked as a secretary and retired from Notre Dame High School after many years of service. She was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Allentown and was an avid reader. Eleanor also enjoyed dancing, traveling and working on puzzles.
Daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Chepega, she was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Clement A. Toporek. Eleanor is survived by her three children, Thomas and Carol Toporek, Cynthia and Jerry Lee Valentine and Daniel Toporek; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Dolores Chepega; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Patricia Toporek and Geraldine Britton; her godchildren, Teresa Steitler, Patrick McCarthy and Joseph Chepega, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Saturday, November 5th at St. John's Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening from 4 to 7pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Eleanor loved flowers; arrangements will be gladly accepted or memorial contributions may be made in her name to Creature Comfort Pet Therapy, PO Box 872, Morris Plains, NJ 07950.
