Obituary

Eleanor "Nelly" Pullen, 92, of Jacobstown, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at The Pines Village in Whiting. Born and raised in Windsor, NJ, Eleanor graduated from Allentown High School and later became a bus driver for the East Windsor Regional School District, where she transported students for more than 25 years until her retirement. Eleanor enjoyed sewing, knitting, and baking the most delicious pies and cookies you could find in the area, but what she loved most of all was her family. Always there when you needed her, Eleanor soothed scraped knees and dried countless tears. Anyone fortunate enough to know her knew what a gracious, loving and caring person she was. Eleanor will be missed by all.

Eleanor was predeceased by her parents, Ambrose and Mary Walker Tindall and her beloved husband, Clendon “Clem” Pullen. She was also predeceased by her son, Francis Albert Estenes; her daughter, JoAnn Falbo; and her siblings, Frank Tindall, Ambrose “Andy” Tindall, Marvin “Whitey” Tindall, Norris Tindall, Elsie Patterson, Charles Tindall, John Tindall, Mabel Stine, Reba Tindall, and Pearl Busch.

Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Linda Chiappetta (Jay) of New Egypt, Margaret “Peggy” Estenes of South Gastonia, NC, and Lisa Zucatti (Rusty) of Jacobstown. She is also survived by her sister, June Curlis (Eddie) of Port St. Lucie, FL.; her grandchildren, Brad Chiappetta (Maria), Benjamin Chiappetta (Jennifer), Stephanie Jedynak, Jennifer Jedynak, Adam Zucatti, and Abigail Zucatti; four great-grandchildren, Shayna, Serafina, Julia, and Charlotte Chiappetta. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Services for Eleanor will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main Street, Allentown. Family and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Allentown Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Eleanor's name to your choice of charity.
