Eleanor B. Peters, 92 of North Oaks, MN passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Pillars Hospice House in Oakdale, MN. Born in South Brunswick, NJ, she was a resident of Robbinsville for most of her life prior to moving to Minnesota in 2010. Eleanor was a Registered Nurse and retired from Mercer Hospital where she worked with the Intravenous Therapy (IV) team for many years. After retirement, at various times, she participated in the Villagers of Allentown, volunteered at Mercer Hospital, worked with the Mercer Student Nurse committee, and became a Masonic Home volunteer. She was a longtime member and former Deacon of the Allentown Presbyterian Church and enjoyed sewing, and loved being with her family and friends.
Daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude Barclay, she was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, August W. Peters and her twin sister and brother-in-law, Miriam and Richard Satterthwait. Eleanor is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Michael Lennon of White Bear Lake, MN; her grandson, Matthew Lennon and his wife Terri and her great grandchildren, Evelynn and Dara, all of Minnesota as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral service will be held 10:30am on Saturday, March 26th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. The Rev. Dr. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville. Friends may call Saturday from 9 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
