Eleanor M. Napoleon, 81, died Wednesday at RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, she had lived in Robbinsville, prior to moving to Chesterfield 8 years ago. She and her husband owned and operated Napoleon's Bakery in Trenton for many years, Eleanor also worked in food services with McGraw Hill , in Hightstown, but more recently enjoyed working as an aid for North Hanover School District. Her family was very important to her as well as her love for her dogs and cats.
Wife of the late Anthony Napoleon and sister of the late Clarence Smires, she is survived by a daughter, Nancy Jean Napoleon of Wrightstown, 2 Sons and daughters-in-law; Anthony and Maria Napoleon of Pembroke, FL. and Vince and Aggie Napoleon of Chesterfield. 2 brothers Thomas Smires and his wife Christine of Lawrenceville and Edward J. Smires of Yardley. 3 sisters Estella Smires of Yardville, Clara Briggs and her husband George of Trenton and Diane Smires of Burlington. 6 grandchildren; Jessica Sanchez, Jason , Gabby, Vincent and Alexis Napoleon and Sophia Perrakis as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their children.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday 11 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton Township. Friends may call Monday evening 6pm to 9pm at the funeral home and again Tuesday morning from 10 am until time of service.
