Elaine Sobreira, 79, of New Egypt, NJ, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 at her home.  Born in Newark, NJ, she resided in North Hanover, NJ for almost 30 years before recently moving to New Egypt.  Elaine retired from a fulfilling career at Prudential Insurance Company, where she worked for many years. She was devout member of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish in New Egypt and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the Spirituality Ministry.

Daughter of the late Jorge and Mary Rodrigues, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Sobreira and by her brother, George Rodrigues. Elaine is survived by her children and their spouses, Frank McCarthy, Paula and Michael Mammana, Christina and Patrick Bergin, and Veronica and William Charcalla; 11 grandchildren, Toni, Michael, Matthew, Jessica, Mark, Michael, Davanna, Alyson, Emily, Nicholas, and Peyton; three great grandchildren, Leah, Jacob, and Landon; her sisters, Dolores Sulewski, Mary Ann Corbo, and Linda Esposito as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am on Tuesday, December 5th at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, Assumption Church, 28 Monmouth Rd., Wrightstown, NJ 08562.  Interment will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
