Obituary

Edward R. Steepy, 88, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Marsella Center in Burlington Township.  Born and raised in Trenton, he lived in Bordentown most of his life.  He retired from General Motors in West Trenton after 31 years and was a US Navy Veteran during WWII.  Ed was a life member of the Bordentown Lodge #2085 BPOE, the VFW Post 2535 of Hamilton Township and the VAW 731 of Trenton.  He belonged to the Bordentown Township Senior Citizens, the Chesterfield Township Keenagers and the Young at Heart, Cookstown Senior Citizens.  Ed was also a former member of the Greenwood Avenue United Methodist Church, where he was the Boy Scout Master for 10 years before becoming a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Bordentown.

Son of the late Russell W. and Mabel Steepy; he was predeceased by his wife Frances Kaner Steepy and his brother, Russell Steepy.  Ed is survived by his son, Kirk E. Steepy and his wife Carol of Pemberton; his beloved daughter, Beth Steepy of Trenton; his brother, Jack Steepy also of Trenton; his grandson, Liam Perry-Steepy and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11 am Friday, February 1 st at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday evening 6 to 8pm at the funeral home and again Friday from 10am until time of service.
