Edward Fowler, 74, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at his home in Chesterfield Township, NJ. Born in Chesterfield, he had been a resident of the area all of his life. He had worked as a mechanic for the H.W. Bibus Farm in Chesterfield, PSE&G in Lawrenceville, for the Reed Brothers Equipment Company and Applegate Lawn and Garden Center. Ed was a past Fire Chief of the Chesterfield Hose Company #262, a past Chesterfield Township Police Officer and was a certified Weight Master for the Bordentown Weight Station. He was a member of the Central Jersey Tractor Pullers, the Ancocas Car Club and many gun associations. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed collecting antique tractors, cars, trucks and guns.
Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Lena Fowler, he is survived by his two sisters: Christine Fowler-Zelley and her husband Dave and Arlene Bibus and her husband David. Two nieces: Maryann Horner and her husband Joe and Suzanne Heller. His nephew: Bill Bibus and his wife Valarie, great nieces and nephews: Chris and Charlie Bartz, Joseph and Gabrielle Bibus and Jared and Abi Heller, his great-great nephew: William Bartz and his beloved dog, "Jay" and was a mentor for close friend Cody Gilmer.
Services for Edward will be held 11 am Saturday, November 18 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Bordentown Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm and again on Saturday morning from 10 am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made in Edward's name to the Chesterfield Hose Company, 296 Chesterfield-Bordentown Rd, Chesterfield, NJ 08515.
