Edward Vincent Agro, 92 of Wrightstown, New Jersey, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.  Edward was born in Brooklyn, New York and later moved to Staten Island where he raised his family. Edward settled in New Jersey after the passing of his Wife Doris in 2004.  A US Navy Veteran of the Korean War, Ed was stationed on the USS Wasp Aircraft Carrier.  He had a strong work ethic and was employed as a Commercial Steel Salesman retiring at the age of 82.  After his retirement, Ed worked part time sales for Gooding Associates Construction.

A talented musician, Ed loved playing the piano. Over the course of lifetime, he was a part of, and lead in, many Big Bands and later with his own band, The Sound Dimensions.  He loved animals, especially his dogs and enjoyed boating and going the track to watch his daughters racehorses run.  He was always the first in the winner's circle when one of them won.

Above all, Ed was a dedicated provider to his family and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Son of the late Vincent and Theresa Agro, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Doris Agro,  his son, Edward C. Agro, and his brother and sister-in-law James and Carol Agro.  Ed is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William and Maryann Agro; his two daughters, Sheryl Agro and Pamela Agro; his grandchildren, Edward and Julianna Agro and his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Janet Agro.

A viewing will be held Friday, January 8 ^th from 6-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will be private in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ed's name to a local animal shelter.
