Edna M. Van Hise, 89, of Lawrenceville, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 surrounded by her family. Born in Lawrenceville, Edna attended Princeton High School and later moved to Allentown, where she resided for 58 years. She was a member of Allentown Presbyterian Church and was devoted to caring for her family. Edna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Daughter of the late George and Sarah Ford, she is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Marvin A. Van Hise Sr., two sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin Jr. and Lini Van Hise of Lawrenceville and Wayne and Yvonne Van Hise of Cream Ridge; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth and John Frech of Lake Arial, PA and Diane and Gary Molnar of Boardman, OH; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Barbara Ford of Lawrenceville; sisters-in-law, Betty Ford of Windsor and Catharine Ford of Lawrenceville; 12 grandchildren, Kevin, Aaron, Michele, Jackie, Kimberly, Kevin, Eric, Dean, Leslie, Dana, Lauren and Jeffrey; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 10am on Saturday October 15th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will follow in Allentown Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening from 7pm to 8:30 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Allentown Presbyterian Church, PO Box 122, Allentown, NJ 08501.
