Edith Souders Walter, 81, of Columbus, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly with her loving husband and family by her side.  Born in Trenton, she was educated in the Lawrenceville school system and graduated from Princeton High School.  She held many jobs and retired from GE as an Executive Secretary. Edith loved music and playing the piano.

Daughter of the late Raymond Sr. and Caroline Souders, she was predeceased by her brothers Raymond Jr. and John Souders.  She is survived by her beloved husband Frederick, to whom she was married for 61 years; her brother Jim Souders (Beverly); her sisters, Claire Manger, Betty Rickett, Joan Buell (Bruce), Mary Ice, Gladys Hyer and Grace Hedden (Edward); her sisters-in-law, Mary Frances Souders, Barbara Souders and Edna Avery; her brothers-in-law, George Ervin (Margie) and Ken Walter (Rita) as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 8pm Monday, February 6 ^th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St. Allentown.  The Rev. Horace Frantz will officiate.  Friends may call from 6pm until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923, Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 200 Trenton Rd.
