Married to Judi Rhodes of Manchester, CT and had two children: Elizabeth Epright married to Ed Epright and William Earl Reeder II married to Brenda Best. Earl has one grandchild: Meaghan Irene, daughter of Bill and Brenda.
Earl was born Earl Hulings in Bordentown, NJ in 1939 to William Earl Reeder and Martha Shreve. He had two step-mothers: Margaret Lippincott and Marion Forsyth and one brother David Shreve Reeder, all deceased.
He attended Bordentown and West Trenton Fisk Elementary Schools, and graduated from Vineland High School, Vineland, NJ. He also graduated from Eastern Baptist College, St. David's, PA with a bachelor's degree and from Temple University, Phila, PA with a Master's degree. He retired as a secondary science teacher and science department chair; also from Hoechst Celanese Chemicals Environmental, Health and Safety Department; and was a data and business analyst consultant for data warehouse projects after both retirements
He is a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Abington, PA where his memorial service will be held on Saturday, 25 at 10:30 AM. Earl accompanied pastors on four church mission trips to Eastern Europe and South America. He and his wife with their children traveled extensively in USA's national parks. He and Judi also traveled extensively to Western and Eastern Europe; likewise, they visited Caribbean and South America countries.
Earl was District Deputy Grand Master in NJ Masonry where he was a member of several Masonic organizations, including a Square Club in Warminster, PA. Three of these New Jersey organizations were in Bordentown, NJ: Mt Moriah 28 who will do the Masonic Service on a Friday evening at 8 PM, Scottish Rite, and Horizon Daylight 299. Before and after the Masonic Service there will be an opportunity for friends and relatives to greet Earl's immediate family from Warminster, PA, Lancaster, PA and South Brunswick, NJ.
In PA he was a member of Ann's Choice Chorus, Concordia Chorus in Abington, Franklinville Schwartzwald Men's Chorus (a German chorus) in Warminster, 2nd Time Around Swing Band at Ann's Choice, Old Comrades Symphonic Band in Huntington Valley, and Settlement Music School Senior Chamber Music organization, Willow Grove. He was a clarinet and saxophone player.
Earl also supervised a traveling team soccer program in Bridgewater, NJ in the 1980's; also played, coached and referred soccer in the 1980's. In addition he sang in three church choirs: Bound Brook Presbyterian, Christ Church in Bridgewater, and Flemington Baptist. He also sang in Raritan Valley Master Chorus, Contabile Select chorus in New Brunswick, and a community chorus in Hillsborough, NJ. Finally, he held summer assignments with Somervile YMCA Day Camp in the 1970's. He was president of NJ Data Management Association in the 1990's.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 pm, Friday, July 24 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Masonic services will begin at 8pm. A memorial service will be 10:30 am, saturday, July 25 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Parkview and Lycoming, Abington, PA.
