Duncan L. Lucier, 62, of Allentown, died suddenly on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton.
Born in Tampa, FL, Duncan resided in the Allentown area for over 20 years, restoring historic homes, he worked for many years painting and doing restoration painting and carpentry, he was a multi-talented individual.
A US Army veteran, serving at Tigerland, Fort Hood and Fort Knox in the tank service as a driver and sharp shooter; he traveled extensively all over the United States working as a musician, a chef, in construction and entertaining and telling stories. A talented storyteller, Duncan was a musician, singer and songwriter, working in Nashville, Los Angeles, Texas and later in New Jersey, often entertaining in the local wineries.
He loved the beach, bays and estuaries and played music and lived in many places along the coast of Florida, Texas and California, including Big Sur.
Son of the late Guy and Mary Lucier of Clearwater Florida, long deceased; Duncan has two sons, Daniel of Florida and Ian of New Mexico and a brother, Nelson Lucier. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Susan Gower who he met in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
He was very kind hearted and his 2 adopted Cocker Spaniels, George and Maddie, miss him already. He will be sorely missed by his many friends all over the country. Duncan was an unforgettable person loved by many.
Cremation will be private under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
