Dorothy I. VanSteen, age 83, of Mount Holly, passed away peacefully Thursday evening at RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in Rancocas, she was a resident of the Robbinsville area for over 35 years.
Dorothy worked in the office for McGraw Hill of Hightstown, for over 20 years and later worked as a seamstress. She was very active with the Washington Twp. Senior Citizens.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Joseph Lake of Eastampton; a sister and brother-in-law, Ilene and Charles Woolley of DE; a sister-in-law, Florence Meredith of Freehold; 3 granddaughters, Michelle McGonigal and her husband Matthew, Nicole Hartman and her husband Michael and Danielle Fritz and her husband Jason, 3 great-grandchildren, Brandan, Timothy, and Robert.
Funeral services will be Monday evening, 9 pm, at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ 08505. Interment will be private. Friends may call Monday evening from 7 pm until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 100 North 17th Street, Second Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103
