Dorothy L. Sherman, 85, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at CareOne in Jackson. Born in Frederick, MD , she was raised in Dundalk, MD during the depression and as a young woman worked loading airplane ammunition into wooden boxes during WWII. In New Jersey she moved from Mt. Holly to Bordentown and finally Cream Ridge. She retired as a Judicial Court Clerk from Bordentown and was an active member and supporter of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Bordentown, where she volunteered her time and creative craft talents for bazaars, suppers and fund raising activities. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be sorely missed. Wife of the late Walter Sherman, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Kathy Sherman, granddaughters, Chris Mullens and her husband Eric, Kelly Sherman and two great grandchildren, Sarah and Brady Mullens. Funeral Services will be 11 am Tuesday, November 9 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Bordentown Cemetery, Bordentown Twp. Friends may call Tuesday morning 10 am until time of service at the funeral home.
