Dorothy M. Hendrickson, 87, died peacefully April 15, 2009 at the Lutheran Home in River Falls, Wisconsin. Born in Trenton, Mrs. Hendrickson was a 1940 graduate of Yardley High School. She was an area resident until 1982, when she moved to Delray Beach, Florida, and later to Wisconsin. She held a number of positions over the years. The one she most enjoyed was at the General Motors plant in Trenton, which built fighter planes during World War II. In 1952 she married Frank Leslie Hendrickson of Allentown, NJ, who died in 1960. At different times, she was a member of the Morrisville and Yardley United Methodist Churches.
Daughter of the late James and Kathryn Heffernan of Jersey City, NJ, Mrs. Hendrickson is survived by two sons and their wives, David M. and Carol R. Hendrickson of Morrisville, PA, and Thomas M. and Margarita D. Hendrickson of River Falls, WI; and four grandchildren, Leana, Sara, Dan and Laura Hendrickson. Dorothy worked hard as a single mom at a time when there were few social supports. She will be greatly missed.

Services were private at the convenience of the family.
