Obituary

Dorothy L. Bisceglie, 84, of Westampton, NJ, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton. Born in Philadelphia to the late Edward and Dorothy Nordell on February 5, 1937, she resided in the Kensington section before the family settled in Collingswood, NJ, and eventually in Edgewater Park, NJ, where she and her husband raised a family.

Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, at Trenton Thunder games, Phillies games, watching her favorite TV shows and movies like "Andy Griffith", "Sound of Music", and "Wizard of Oz", and specifically at one of her favorite places, Ocean City, NJ, where she spent her time with her children and grandchildren making enough memories to last many lifetimes. She also enjoyed her craftwork; knitting, crocheting, sewing, and baking. Many birthdays were made special with the themed cakes that she made for her grandchildren. The smiles that they brought were worth millions as the Cinderella, SpongeBob, Mickey Mouse, and Barbie cakes were unveiled to sing "Happy Birthday" to whoever's special day it was. Also, upon graduation, everyone received a "smart cookie" Oreo cake. She also loved the theater and had season tickets to the Walnut Street Theater for decades, where she delighted in sharing the experiences with her children, special friends, and family, after the passing of her husband in 1991.

She loved spending time with her HOPE Group members at meetings, as well as the monthly luncheons they planned together. It was always a source of happiness to see her group and catch up on the happenings of each one's family, and she delighted in telling stories about her children and grandchildren to them, as well.

Predeceased by her husband, Michael Bisceglie, her sister, Joanne Creitz and her husband Glenn; Dorothy is survived by her children: Lisa Rockhill and her husband Clinton, Kathy Cohan, Michael Bisceglie, and Scott Bisceglie; her grandchildren: Clinton Rockhill, III and his wife Licia, Rebecca Rockhill, Heather Cohan and her partner, Kylen, Jason Cohan and his wife Samantha, Olivia Bisceglie, and Michael Bisceglie; her great granddaughter, Grace Rockhill; as well as her siblings, Marie Flacco and her husband Tony, Kathy Cabaniss Lee and her husband Dave, and late husband Jeff, Rosemary Crognale and her husband Lou, and Edward Nordell: her sisters-in-law: Albina "Bean" Martin, and Pat Bisceglie, surviving her husband Dominick Bisceglie, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown on Friday December 10th, at 10:45 AM with interment to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Burlington Twp. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
